Course Structure and Approach
Music theory is often taught as a set of bland rules and strange names to be memorised. This course takes a different approach, focusing on building an understanding of how music works and how theory connects to the music you already know and love - as well as to genres whose richness you’ve yet to discover.
Over 20 weeks, you’ll develop a reliable understanding of music through a clear, progressive structure that supports confident reading, listening, and application.
Course Format:
Small-group format (maximum 10 participants)
Cohort-based programme — participants start and progress together
Open to adults and teens aged 14+
One weekly session of approximately 2 hours, divided into two 45-minute blocks with a short break in between
No prior musical knowledge is required - just a willingness to engage and enjoy.
You do not need an instrument.
Final scheduling will be confirmed based on interest and availability.
